How to convert positive into comparative degree?

Rule 1:

No other (অন্য কেউ না) যুক্ত positive Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রুপান্তর করার নিয়মঃ

প্রদত্ত sentence এর শেষের subject + verb + positive degree এর comparative form + than any other + no other এর পর থেকে verb এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত।

Positive: No other leader in the group is as good as him.দলের আর কোনো নেতাই তার মতো ভালো নয়
Comparative: He is better than any other student in the group. সে  দলের অন্য যেকোনো ছাত্রের চেয়ে ভালো
Positive: No other place in the world is so / as cold as Canada.কানাডার মতো এত ঠান্ডা পৃথিবীর আর কোনো জায়গা নেই
Comparative: Canada is colder than any other country in the world.কানাডা বিশ্বের অন্য যেকোনো দেশের তুলনায় শীতল

 

Rule 2:

Very few ( খুব কম) যুক্ত positive Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রুপান্তর করার নিয়মঃ

প্রদত্ত sentence এর শেষের subject + verb + positive degree এর comparative form + than most other (অন্যান্য অধিকাংশের চেয়ে) + no other এর পর থেকে verb এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত।

Positive: Very few students are so good as mahthir. মাহথিরের মতো ভালো ছাত্র খুব কম
Comparative: Lablu is better than most other students. মাহথির অন্যান্য ছাত্রদের চেয়ে ভালো
Positive: Very few metals are so costly as diamond.খুব কম ধাতুই  হীরার মতো দামী
Comparative:diamond  is costlier than most other metals.হীরা  অন্যান্য ধাতুর চেয়ে দামী

 

Rule 3:

As……as (যেমন... যেমন) যুক্ত positive Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রুপান্তর করার নিয়মঃ

প্রদত্ত sentence এর শেষের subject + verb + not + positive degree এর comparative form + than + প্রদত্ত sentence এর প্রথম subject।

Positive: He is as good as his freind.সে তার বন্ধুর মতোই ভালো
Comparative: His friend is not better than him.তার বন্ধু তার চেয়ে ভালো নয়

 

How to change superlative to comparative?

Rule 1:

Subject + verb + Superlative এর comparative form + than any other (অন্য কোনো তুলনায়) + প্রদত্ত sentence বাকী অংশ।

Superlative: He is the best boy in the team. সে দলের সেরা ছেলে
Comparative: He is better than any other boy in the team.সে দলের অন্য যেকোনো ছেলের চেয়ে ভালো

 

Note: All of থাকলে All of এর পরিবর্তে than all other বসে।

 

Superlative: He is the best of all women. তিনি সকল নারীর সেরা
Comparative: He is better than all other women. তিনি অন্য সব নারীর চেয়ে উত্তম

 

Rule 2:

One of the (এক) যুক্ত Superlative Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রুপান্তর করার নিয়মঃ

Subject + verb + Superlative এর comparative form + than most other (অন্যান্য অধিকাংশের চেয়ে) + প্রদত্ত sentence বাকী অংশ।

Superlative:Kibria is among the top players on the team .দলের অন্যতম সেরা খেলোয়াড় কিবরিয়া
Comparative:Kibria is superior to most other players on the team .দলের অন্যান্য খেলোয়াড়ের চেয়ে কিবরিয়া ভালো
Superlative: Canada is one of the frostiest nations in the world..কানাডা বিশ্বের শীতলতম দেশগুলির মধ্যে একটি
Comparative:Canada is chillier than most other nations in the world.বিশ্বের অন্যান্য দেশের তুলনায় কানাডা শীতল

 

What is the comparative of superlative?

Rule 1:

Subject + verb + the + Comparative এর superlative form + other এর পরের অংশ।

Comparative: He is better than any other player in the team.দলের অন্য যেকোনো খেলোয়াড়ের চেয়ে সে ভালো
Superlative: He is the best player in the team.দলের সেরা খেলোয়াড় তিনি

Note – other এর পর plural noun থাকলে superlative এর পরে of all বসে।

Comparative: He is bigger than of all boys.সে সব ছেলেদের থেকে বড়
Superlative: He is the tallest of all boys.সে সব ছেলেদের মধ্যে লম্বা

 

Rule 2:

Than most other/than few other (বেশিরভাগ অন্যান্যের চেয়ে/অন্য কয়েকটির চেয়ে) যুক্ত Comparative কে Superlative এ রুপান্তর করার নিয়ম:

Subject + verb + one of the + Comparative degree এর superlative form + most other/few other (অধিকাংশ অন্যান্য/কয়েকটি অন্যান্য) এর পরের অংশ।

Comparative: Vatican City is tinier than most other nations in the world.ভ্যাটিকান সিটি বিশ্বের অন্যান্য দেশের তুলনায় ছোট
Superlative: Vatican City is one of the tiniest nations in the world..ভ্যাটিকান সিটি পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে ছোট দেশগুলোর একটি
Comparative:Dhaka is larger than most other cities in Bangladesh.বাংলাদেশের অন্যান্য শহরের তুলনায় ঢাকা বড়
Superlative: Dhaka is one of the largest cities in Bangladesh.ঢাকা বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম বড় শহর

 

How to change Positive into superlative?

Rule 1:

No other (অন্য কেউ না) যুক্ত positive degree কে superlative degree তে রুপান্তর করার নিয়মঃ

প্রদত্ত sentence এর শেষের Subject + verb + the + positive এর superlative form + no other এর পর থেকে verb এর মাঝের অংশ।

Positive: No other persion in the team is as good as Raju. দলে আর কেউই রাজুর মতো ভালো নয়
Superlative: Raju is the best player in the team.দলের সেরা খেলোয়াড় রাজু
Positive: No other man man in the village is as good as him.গ্রামের অন্য কোনো পুরুষ মানুষ তার মতো ভালো নয়
Superlative: He is the best man in the village.সে  গ্রামের সেরা মানুষ

 

Rule 2:

Very few (খুব কম)  যুক্ত positive degree কে superlative degree তে রুপান্তর করার নিয়মঃ

প্রদত্ত sentence এর শেষের Subject + verb + one of the + positive এর superlative form + very few এর পর থেকে verb এর মাঝের অংশ।

Positive: Very few men in the village are as tall as zaman.গ্রামে খুব কম পুরুষই জামানের মতো লম্বা
Superlative: zaman is one of the tallest men in the village.জামান গ্রামের সবচেয়ে লম্বা পুরুষদের একজন
Positive: Very few people in the country are as good as zaman.দেশে খুব কম মানুষই জামানের মতো ভালো
Superlative: zman is one of the best people in the country.জামান দেশের সেরা মানুষদের একজন
