Past Perfect Tense কাকে বলে? উদাহরণসহ সহজ ব্যাখ্যা!
অতীত কালে দুটি কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়ে থাকলে তাদের মধ্যে যেটি আগে ঘটেছিল তা Past perfect tense হয় এবং যেটি পরে হয়েছিল তা simple past tense হয়।

1st subject + had + verb এর past participle + 2nd subject + verb এর past form +2nd object.
Or
1st subject + had + verb এর past participle + simple past tense
বিশেষ দ্রষ্টব্য: Past perfect tense এ দুটি বাক্য before অথবা after দ্বারা সংযুক্ত হয়। লক্ষ্য রাখতে হবে যে, before এর আগে Past Perfect Tense ব্যবহার হবে এবং after এর পরে Past Perfect Tense প্রয়োগ করা হবে।

- আমি ভাত খাওয়ার পূর্বে সে বাড়ি আসলো– He had come home before I ate rice.
- আমি স্কুলে যাওয়ার পূর্বে সে মারা গেল – He had died before I went to school.
- ঘণ্টা পড়ার পূর্বে তারা স্টেশনে পৌঁছ – They had reached the station before the bell rang.
- ডাক্তার আসিবার পূর্বে রোগীটি মারা গেল – The patient had died before the doctor came.
- ডাক্তার আসিবার পরে রোগীটি মারা গেল – The doctor had come before the patient died.
- বিছানায় শুতে যাবার পূর্বে আমি দরজাটা বন্ধ করিলাম – I had shut the door before I got into bed.
-সে হোমওয়ার্ক শেষ করার পর বিছানায় গিয়েছিল। She went to bed after she finished her homework.
- আমি কাজ শেষ করার পর দুপুরের খাবার খেয়েছিলাম। I had lunch after I completed my work.
- সে পাঁচ কিলোমিটার দৌড়ানোর পর ক্লান্ত অনুভব করেছিল। He felt tired after he ran five kilometers.
- আমরা পার্টি ছেড়ে দিয়েছিলাম যখন সবাই বাড়ি চলে গিয়েছিল। We left the party after everyone had gone home.
- তারা ডিনার শেষ করার পর সিনেমা দেখেছিল। They watched the movie after they finished their dinner.
# অতীত কালে এক সংগে দুইটি কাজ শেষ বা সম্পন্ন হয়েছে এইরূপ বুঝালে, সেক্ষেত্রে when দিয়ে বাক্য শুরু করতে হয়
যেমন:
Structure: When + Past perfect tense clause, + past simple/indefinite tense clause.
For example
- When Shila had sung a song, the audience listened to her attentively. -শিলা যখন গান করেছিল, শ্রেুাতারা মনযোগ সহকারে শুনেছিল ।
- When Kabita had danced, the spectators / audience enjoyed it.-কবিতা যখন নাচতেছিল, দর্শকরা / শ্রেুাতারা উপভোগ করেছিল ।
